Onsite at Victoria Station Upgrades

07 November 2016

The Victoria Station Upgrade is a complex project to upgrade one of London’s busiest underground stations. It is located at the centre of a major transport interchange between Victoria Underground Station, National Rail Station and Bus Terminus; weaved around a dense population of residents and stakeholders

The upgrade involves extending the existing ticket hall, providing a new ticket hall, constructing approximately 300 metres of tunnels to link the two halls, and providing step-free access into the station.

Around 245,000m3 of waste has been generated by demolition and excavation works across the VSU project. The PODFather Earthworks waste ticketing system has been used to ensure that Taylor Woodrow BAM Nuttall were successfully meeting their legal obligations.
