PODFather wins contract with Technologistics and Ikea Edinburgh

PODFather has signed a deal with Edinburgh-based haulage specialists Technologistics for the supply of a custom booking and home delivery solution to incorporate the needs of IKEA Edinburgh, within the current Technologistics system.
The Technologistics solution will incorporate all the elements of the IKEA Edinburgh Home Delivery and Assembly operations, designed to improve planning efficiency and customer service. Customer orders will be sent from central IKEA systems, or scanned in-store, with delivery and assembly charges calculated automatically according to delivery address, number of items, and in-store promotions.
The transport planning, real-time proof-of-delivery, and driver tracking will be based on the PODFather platform, modified to replicate current IKEA customer paperwork.
